Основные направления научных исследований — биофизика возбудимых сред (в т. ч. особенности поведения автоволнового ревербератора), тканевая инженерия сердца, теоретическое и экспериментальное обоснование низковольтной дефибрилляции. Автор более 80 научных работ, опубликованных в том числе в Nature и Science.
