Base organizations

Each student can choose the direction of his scientific development from a variety of modern and in-demand research activities thanks to cooperation with base organizations.

The base organizations of the MIPT Biomedical school are the leading institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Distribution to departments

The distribution to the departments takes place at the end of the 3rd year. The basic departments are located in Moscow. The time for research work is provided in the curriculum for the 4th year (base days). In addition, specialized subjects are taught by leading scientists of basic institutes.

Thus, the 4th year provides both training at the basic departments and at the MIPT campus in Dolgoprudny.
Master's degree studies can also take place at the basic department.

In the first year of study, disciplines are taught and research work is carried out. The second year of the Master's degree is completely devoted to research work.

After successful completion of research work in the laboratory of the basic organization in the bachelor’s degree, it is possible to continue studying at the basic department in the master’s degree.

CEP was founded in 2019 to create master's programs that meet the challenges of science and industry. Today, there are 2 types of master's degree programs being implemented in the PBMP — Master's degree programs and education courses

Training of highly qualified specialists in the latest areas of modern biology, such as the structure and functions of biopolymers, genetic and protein engineering, the molecular foundations of immunology and oncology, the structure and functions of biological membranes, bio- and nanotechnology.

VIGG RAS

Training of bachelors, masters and candidates of sciences, who own modern methods of analysis of experimental genetic data, including genome-wide. Such skills are necessary to identify the targets of the effects of drugs on the cell and the human body, to create new drugs, as well as to determine the individual genetic characteristics of the patient, which are important for choosing a treatment strategy.

Training of highly qualified specialists with diverse experience in studying biomolecular systems for research in the field of fundamental life sciences and biotechnology, as well as for practical work on the creation of new medicines and equipment.

The main directions of the Institute: the study of the physical and chemical foundations of the development of human diseases; development, creation and introduction into clinical practice of original methods of theranostics (therapy and diagnostics), based on new knowledge about the physicochemical patterns of disease development. These methods are based on "omics technologies" (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) and mathematical modeling of bioprocesses of drugs on the cell and the human body, to create new drugs, as well as to determine the individual genetic characteristics of the patient, which are important for choosing a treatment strategy.

N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine

Students and graduate students of the Department of Physics of the Living Systens, studying in experimental and experimental research, include scientific, biomedical and medical centers of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
