Master's degree is the second educational step in MIPT's Biomedical School. For two years, students go through an indepth training in their chosen major and engage in research activities together with the strongest scientists of the industry. There are three vectors of Master's programs in biomedical school: academic, industrial and entrepreneurial.

Academic program

Students of the academic Master's programs carry out a research project in the leading laboratories of Russia in order to enter the postgraduate school and continue their research. A Master's degree of such type is a classic link between undergraduate and postgraduate schools and is most suitable for those who have decided to make a career out of science.

The main task for future M.A. is to master particular subjects at the beginning of the program and to fully focus on research activities. The emphasis is on specific and respected knowledge and skills necessary for work in a certain Institute with a specific technology stack.

Industrial program

The Master's program is implemented on the base of the Center for Educational Programs of Biomed school. This particular program corresponds to the classic approach of Phystech for training students according to needs of a certain high-tech partner: Generium and others. In such Master's programs, teachers are mainly employees of the company. Students are involved in the company's work right away, and their diploma project is dedicated to solving a specific business problem.

There are scholarship grants and programs in English provided.

Industrial Master's Degree programs

Digital Startup Master's programs

In this major students work on their technical skills and knowledge in their first year, while in the second year they get engaged in business tasks. The graduation project can be either a student's personal startup or a solution of the technological problems of a digital company.

It is most suitable for students with a technical background who have entrepreneurial and administrative ambitions.
